What Has Been Lost Will Be Found

I mentioned yesterday that the betrayal expected was confirmed, and about how we decided to handle that situation.  Today, we can report that the van and laptop have been recovered.  We are awaiting a phone call to let us know what we need to do to go claim them.  We hope they will be in good condition, though there are no guarantees.

This situation has actually proved to be very fruitful for a couple of reasons.  The first reason is that it brought to light a soul in desperate need of prayers.  Hank clearly needs our prayers, and I spent a bit of time in adoration today praying that God would redeem him and restore his soul before he dies.  I think maybe that's why God allowed all of that to happen, because He knew that of all the people we were the ones most likely to pray for his soul rather than choosing to become bitter and desiring of revenge as others might.

The second reason I think God allowed this to happen is to force us to resolve a situation we have not been able to resolve until now. I am not proud to admit this, but our family has struggled a great deal financially over the years. We were starting to get it together, but we didn't yet have enough money to get the van legal in the state of Nevada.  I think God's decided it's high time we clear that up, so He's forcing the issue.

It's going to take us about $5000 for us to get the van cleared legally.  We have to pay the registration, pay the fines for failing to register, pay for insurance, pay off Randy's surcharge, and then pay for title and tags.  It's a lot more money than we have sitting in our account, so I'm going to do something I rarely do and have never done on this blog, I'm going to ask for donations. If you don't have money right now and just want to pray for us, that's good too.  If you can't help but you can help spread the message to someone who can, we'd appreciate it.

If you read this blog and you find it helpful, please send a donation through paypal by clicking this button
. You may not have a lot to donate. Maybe you only have a few dollars. We understand, we've been there, too.  However, if you have the ability to donate $5, $10, $20 or more - believe me when I tell you that every little bit will help.
If you donate money, I'll send you a copy of "The ABC's of Dealing with Difficult People" - a booklet I wrote some time ago based on things I learned from the Holy Spirit about how to handle what proved to be the worst boss I ever had.  If you can't donate, but are praying for us or have shared the message and leave us a comment we'll also be glad to send you a copy. I'm praying for miracles, because right now we sure could use them.  Thanks to everyone who has been there for us along the way.  We couldn't have made it without you.

UPDATED STATUS

We have gotten the van back, and the financial need we have is considerably less than anticipated due to some help we have received along the way. It's still more than we have, but a great deal less than $5000. It's looking like our need at the moment is closer to $1500. That will be enough to cover tags, title, license change over, and registration of the vehicle as well as any fines we might have incurred. Again, if you can donate, we appreciate the help. If not, prayers are plenty appreciated. God bless and thanks for reading.
