It's Time

Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring forth my people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt." - Exodus 3:10

It's time to rise up, brothers and sisters, and go forth to Pharaoh to redeem the people. It's time to step forward and be counted, to allow our voices to be heard. We may be just sheep, but we are led by a mighty shepherd, and it is time we remember who we are and why we are here.

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free - Luke 4:18

Though the wealthy and the powerful may think that they have us under their thumbs and that the victory is theirs, we know the truth.  We know that the power is in God's hands and the Victory belongs to Christ.  We know that we were not born to blend in, to stand back, to be unseen.  We were born for His glory, to shine as a light to a people in darkness.  It's time we remember this, and time we took claim of our heritage.

I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. But you have saved us from our enemies, and have put them to shame that hated us. - Psalm 44:6-7

We don't need their weapons to destroy them.  They have already planted the seeds of their own destruction.  All we need to do is stand up, stand fast, and claim the victory.  We aren't helpless. We have a mighty helper in our midst.  We are not weak, for we walk with one who has all strength.  We have only to unite behind His banner and walk together. 

I don't want to hear one more person say that the problem is the government, or blame the President and His men for where our nation stands today.  As long as we content ourselves with placing blame on the government, the congress, the president, the corporations, or any other organization we are telling them that they have the power and we have nothing.  WE are the government.  WE are congress.  WE are the President.  WE are in control, and it is time we not only remember that but REMIND them of that fact.  It is time, it is past time, that we remember who we are and why we are here.

This nation does not belong to those who are wealthy and powerful, though they may think it does.  This nation does not belong to Nancy Peloisi, or Hilary and Bill Clinton, or Barrack Hussein Obama, or the CIA or the FBI or the congress or the senate or any corporation no matter how large and how powerful it may be.  Let them command the armies, we command the angels and their numbers are far greater.  This nation belongs to us and to God.  It is time we reclaim it and stand up for what we know to be right and true and good.  Are you ready?
