Preparation for Total Consecration Starts November 29th

As we wind down from the 40 days of Catholic Parenting: What the Catholic Church Teaches Us About Parenting, I want to let you know about what exciting thing we're launching next. Starting November 29th and ending January 7th, I will be conducting daily Mystagogical Reflections on a book called Preparation for Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary for Families™.  It is this same 40 day preparation I undertook on January 1, 2008 that radically altered my life and helped me to fall head over heels in love with the Lord Jesus Christ. This book is written by a group that is near and dear to my heart, the Apostolate for Family Consecration.

The Apostolate for Family Consecration is an organization that was started by Jerome F. and Gwen C. Coniker in the 1970's as a means of fighting back against the culture of death that was creeping through the United States. Based on the idea that families are the key to achieving victory in this war, the two of them devoted their lives (Jerry is still living as of this post, but Gwen passed away some years ago) to using the writings of John Paul II as a foundation for catechizing families and putting together teams of lay evangelization teams.

What the Conikers knew and understood was that if you can teach Catholics their faith, and then teach them how to teach their faith to others, the Catholic Church would experience an explosion of growth of the right kind.  The beauty of the Catholic Church is absolutely undeniable, but you first have to know where to look to find the answers.  So, my brave readers, I am inviting you to walk on this journey with me and to make time for a daily preparation for Total Consecration.

You can download the book here or order it here.  Either way is fine. We start on the 29th. I hope you'll join me as we explore this tremendous gift to the church.  If you need help or would like materials emailed to you, please send me an email at brandymmiller@gmail.com and I will get them to you.
